A bug out bag is a portable kit setup for emergency survival should you need to evacuate if a disaster occurs such as an earthquake. But out bags should contain everything you need to provide for yourself and or you family for seventy two hours, as this is the amount of time that relief organizations say they will take to respond to these sorts of situations. Bug out bags are often reffered to as BOBs, Get Out of Dodge bags (GOOD), or 72 hour bags.
